内容簡介:Holographic axion models are a class of bottom-up models characterized by one or several sets of shift-symmetric axion fields, whose profiles are taken to be linear in the spatial coordinates. These simple models can implement the breaking of translational invariance in the dual field theory while retaining the homogeneity of the background geometry, thus allowing for controllable and fast computations. Therefore, they have very broad applications in gauge/gravity duality.
In this talk, I will present the new progress of the axion models for modeling the elastic properties and collective excitations of solid systems at finite temperatures. Especially, I will show how these models can provide insights into the mechanical failure of solids under shear strains. In addition, I will also discuss the physical nature of the collective modes and propose an extension of the model by incorporating additional sets of axions to describe superlattice systems.
個人簡介:李偉佳,大連理工大學物理學院副教授、博士生導師。2014年北京師範大學理論物理專業博士。2012-2014年公派美國麻省理工學院和哈佛大學聯合培養。2014-2016年希臘克裡特大學博士後。2016年起在大連理工大學物理學院任教。研究涉及廣義相對論、量子場論、規範/引力對偶以及黑洞物理等交叉領域。近期的主要興趣點是通過規範/引力對偶、量子場論以及流體力學等跨領域理論工具探索強關聯凝聚态、低能QCD等新奇量子多體系統的普适物理性質和行為。
