How can you fix your Dark circles under the eyes?

Dark circle underneath eyes has always been a problem most especially among the women. Men can too have dark circles but they were less aware of it. Some of the most gorgeous looking women often have to resort to a make-up artist to hide their dark circles.

These under-eye dark circles not only have you looking unhealthy but also make you look much older than you actually are. A regular skin and health care can cure this problem.

At first, you should know about the causes of dark circles so that you can take precautions before it strikes.

Here are some of the causes of Dark Circles.

  • Lack of Sleep

This is one of the major cause of under eye circles. If you are not having 7-9 hours sleep then it may cause dark circles. Many people cannot sleep due to stress. They say that they go to bed early but they can’t sleep for the next 2 hours due to excessive secretion of cortisol hormone, the stress hormone. Lack of Vitamin B

Excessive consumption of alcohol or beer and smoke also causes dark circles underneath eyes.  It creates inflammation within the body which also makes your eyes puffy.

So limit your intake of alcohol consumption from your daily lifestyle.

  • Genetic causes

The genetic cause may also be the reason for your dark circles which you will not be able to get rid of it completely, but taken care properly, will definitely able to reduce them drastically. This type of causes is not directly related to nutritional intake.

  • Vitamin deficiencies

Lack of some vitamins in your diet especially vitamin B12 and vitamin K also causes darkening underneath eyes.

Vitamin B12 deficiency affects the nervous system and proper circulation of blood. Vitamin K is an anti-oxidant which is also should be incorporated into your diet.

  • Excessive use of mobiles and computers

Eye stress is caused when you sit in front of the computers or mobile phones for long hours. This causes pressure on the eye muscles which leads to dark circles.

So, how do we fight them? What should we do to prevent dark circles?

Here are some of the solutions you can prefer-

  1. Sleep 7-9 hours a day to reduce stress hormone. Add magnesium and Vitamin B6 rich food in your diet.
  2. Limit your intake of alcohol/smoke.
  3. Eat a healthy diet containing Vitamin B12 and K nutrients. You can also add a multi-vitamin supplement.
  4. Drink plenty of water to at least 10-12 glasses a day to flush out toxins from your body.
  5. Reduce the intake of salt.
  6. Use frozen Cucumber for 10-15 minutes on your eyes to relax the muscles of eyes.
  7. Add workouts in your daily lifestyles to drop the increase of stress hormone.
